While we were parked in Tempe, Arizona we took a trip up to Fountain Hills for the Spring Art Show. We met up with our RV friends, had lunch and walked past Hundreds of displays. Art of every media was represented and more.
The Fountain Festival of Arts & Crafts is one of the largest arts and crafts events in the southwest with hundreds of booths and original fine works of art in every price range, sculptures, paintings, clothing, jewelry, crafts, local food items and more. Now in its 27th year, this three day juried art fair features nearly 500 artists and artisans from across the United States and around the globe, and attracts 200,000+ visitors. Food booths, beer garden and seating areas abound throughout the venue, with great breakfast, lunch and rest stops situated at locations in the middle and at both ends of the festival area. Live musical entertainment.
Of course we had our own entertainment too… Duane and the magical fountain trick:
We had a nice lunch and a few beers and then had to bid farewell to Gisela, Bill, Betty and Duane who we have been traveling with since New Years Eve.
A highlight of our stay in Tempe was a dinner with RV friends Ron and Elena. We try to meet up whenever our paths cross. They had a special Mexican resturant in mind and we met there on a very busy Friday night. The wait was nearly 45 minutes but it was so worth it. An amazing place to try if you are ever in the Phoenix area.

It’s located just off I-17 and S Central. Comedor Guadalajara

This place is packed on the weekends but the Specials on their Menu board are worth every minute to wait. This is NOT your typical Mexican Restaurant..trust me
Another reason we stop for awhile in Tempe is to see our favorite baseball team… the SF GIANTS so tomorrow we will stop in for practice at the Scottsdale Stadium.
