We specifically came to the Wickenburg area to celebrate Gold Rush Days with all the cowboys and cowgirls who gather here each year. This is the 67th Annual Festival.. Carnival, Art Show, Melodrama, Rodeo, and of course Food!
This event celebrates the town’s origins as a ranching & gold mining center in the days before there was a Phoenix.
According to the Wickenburg chamber of commerce, this event draws tens of thousands of visitors during the 3 ½ days of activities. Gold Rush Days most significant recognition is from the Library of Congress, whereas Gold Rush Days is one of America’s Living Legacies.

Early on Valentines day each RV in our Boomer group received two knocks on our doors. First one was from Gisela, dressed in a pink shirt; she baked each of us Two Tarts in the shape of hearts…
Then came Duane, wearing a Red shirt delivering us two sugar cookies!
We were off to a great and early start on this beautiful sunny Saturday in Arizona.

MELODRAMA:
Twelve of us went to the annual Melodrama. The title was The Widow Rootstock Fully “Loded” (It had reference to a gold mine, thus the word loded was used instead of loaded. or something like that?.. Of course it was very corny, That’s typical of most melodramas ~
BIRTHDAYS:
First was Bill’s… in the clubhouse at the SKP park. February 14th.
Duane’s Birthday on the 16th was a Taco and Margarita Party!

Just good fun with wonderful RV friends! Soon we will be saying goodbye to several friends we have been with since New Years Eve. At least we will have pictures and memories to save until we meet again..
