It’s December and time to head toward warmer parts of the country. From Nevada, we made our way to Chico, Sacramento and Lodi. We stayed at the Elks Lodge in Chico and Lodi and Cal Expo Park in Sacramento. The first snow storm of the season had begun but there was a one day break when we could sneak down Highway 70 through the Feather River Canyon and avoid the snowy summit in the Sierra. While stopping in Sacramento and Lodi I was able to have brief visits with family members. Sister, Sue in Sacramento,
Lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and Delicious Dessert!
Cousins Natalie, Lois and Denise in Lodi (I can’t believe we didn’t take any pictures!) Denise, Natalie and I spent several wonderful hours at Wine and Roses Spa in Lodi and enjoyed dinners together several nights.
While I was in Lodi I also made the hour drive to Dublin to meet up with sisters Laurie and Marsha. We had lunch at the Lazy Dog restaurant on Hacienda Drive in Dublin. We had a fun waiter named Andrew and it ended up nearly a two hour lunch!
Off to San Luis Obispo, Oceano and Santa Barbara:
