We gathered in Rock Hill South Carolina to visit with Dad’s first cousin Betty.  She lives on a 200+ acre farm that was part of their dad’s family farm in the mid 1800’s.  Thomas Hill, my grandfather was born there in 1893. It was very cool to see the land he and his brothers once roamed when they were children. They had a great home there that has since gone but we found there is another house that was build on the footprint of the old Hill Family Farm.  Nothing stays the same they say and that has been proven here as well. that part of the old family farmland will one day be part of a big development now in the planning stage.

We had a great time here before and after Dad and I visited Washington DC.  Betty has a beautiful home, Horses, Cats and a couple of ponds on the property that draws in waterfowl, deer and other birds and critters.  We spent a month there including a memorable Christmas.
